Peter Grover, from Lancing, afforded himself “two huge smiles” when he discovered that he had won £250 playing the Chestnut Tree House Lottery.
“The first smile came when I discovered that I had won the money. The second smile was even bigger – that was when I decided to give it all back! Then I thought I might keep a bit back and treat myself to a curry. But, no, I’m not changing my mind. I’m returning it all.
“There are a lot of good causes out there, but I just can’t think of one more deserving than this. I’ve had no direct family experience of Chestnut Tree House, but I did hear of one case, many years ago now, where the hospice was extremely helpful, and things like that do get you.
“I’ve been doing this Lottery for about five years. It’s for children, that’s the important thing, and £8 a month is not much to give for a working man.”
The Chestnut Tree House Lottery players help change local children’s lives, week after week. It costs just £1 a week to play and our Lottery pays for one in every four days of hospice care services.
Play now for your chance to become our next hospice Lottery winner of £1,000 – there are 22 other weekly cash prizes to be won.
