When Stephen Firman discovered that he had won £1,000 with the Chestnut Tree House Lottery he smiled and glanced towards his pride and joy, his Sterling Elite Explorer caravan, parked at the front of his house in Horely.

“We’re going to the Gloucestershire soon, and will see some friends in Chipping Norton. And we’ll look up some other friends we met last Christmas.”

Stephen worked in the police force for 25 years before moving into the commercial security business. He now runs his own security firm. “We used to go abroad a great deal, to France, Spain and Portugal. But we haven’t seen enough of England and we want to put that right.

“We’ve supported a number of charities over the years but now we concentrate on this and the Air Ambulance Service. There are so few establishments like Chestnut Tree House. It’s such a worthwhile cause and we enjoy supporting it and will continue to do so.”
