When someone told Susan Steedon about the Chestnut Tree House Lottery she was interested immediately. “I often say ‘no’ when I’m asked to give money to charity,” said Susan, from Lancing. “But something really resonated when this man knocked on my door and told me about the great work done by this charity. I just thought it was a wonderful thing to do.”
Susan won £100 with the Lottery but she hasn’t spent it yet. “I’m sitting at home doing a lot of reading at the moment, and trying to keep myself sane,” she said. “But the money will probably go towards my allotment. I thought it was an ordinary letter in the post. But when this cheque jumped out at me I thought ‘Oh – thank you very much!’ I have been supporting Chestnut Tree House for 4-5 years now and it’s dear to my heart.”
