It’s party season here at Chestnut Tree House! We are still recovering from the excitement of the children’s summer garden party we held at the end of July. The younger children and their families attended and had lots of fun. The wonderful staff have spent months planning and organising the parties, and it was brilliant to see the children’s smiling faces on the day.
The theme was the Mad Hatters Tea Party, and the garden was decorated with this theme. Chester Cats were hidden in the trees, and the entrance into the garden was even a hole in a tree, just like in the book. Everyone enjoyed eating a delicious cream tea with sandwiches and cakes all cut into mad hatter shapes. There was face painting, balloons in cars, lucky dip, hoopla, photo booth, and the staff of course joined in in fancy dress.
But there isn’t much rest for the staff at Chestnut Tree House, as they are being kept busy making the final preparations for the second of our two summer parties we are holding for the children this month. We are gearing up for the older children’s Mexican Fiesta, which will be held at the end of the month. I’m hoping the sun will shine, I am dusting off my sombrero especially. Ariba!!!
